Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Seminar will run from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
There is no cost to attend this event.

Speakers Bios:

Cathy Lawhon is media relations director at UC Irvine. She supervises press coverage of cutting-edge research and newsworthy faculty and staff at the university and UC Irvine Medical Center. Her staff recently won gold awards for news writing and for UCI's online magazine from CASE -- the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. She also coordinates crisis communications when needed, such as the recent "Black Death" letters. And she is helping lead an effort to fully incorporate new media into the University Communications office. She joined UCI three years ago after 30 years at the Orange County Register where, during her tenure as health editor, she led two projects that became Pulitzer Prize finalists.  

Katherine Twells is an Area Vice President for the Coca-Cola Company responsible for leading the Foodservice Sales teams for the state of California. She has been with Coca-Cola for over 20 years serving in various sales and marketing leadership roles. She is a graduate of Florida State University and has completed multiple post graduate training programs in business leadership. As a documented sales leader she has been profiled in Marcus Buckingham's bestseller "Go Put Your Strengths to Work" as well as the college level textbook published in 2009 titled "Sales Management" by Robert Effermeyer. She is currently working on a book of her own titled "The Power of Choice" discussing high leverage decision making in the new virtual work environment. She resides in Long Beach with her husband Derek and twin boys.

Judith Brower Fancher is founder and president of Brower, Miller & Cole, a strategic marketing, public relations and advertising agency in Irvine. She has overseen hundreds of successful campaigns on behalf of the nation's largest commercial real estate firms, as well as many high-visibility Orange County businesses and organizations, including Sunwest Bank, The Orange County Rescue Mission, Voit Real Estate Services and The District at Tustin Legacy. In the course of creating Profit Development™ for her clients, her firm has received numerous industry awards for its advertising and public relations work. She has guest lectured at universities, mentored more than 50 young professionals, and her first trend book, "FAYM: Females and Younger Men" will be published in February.
