Andy Lapin is the director of enterprise architecture and mobile product for Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com. In this role, Lapin oversees company-wide architecture, while mentoring the architecture and engineering teams. Lapin evaluates and makes recommendations for new technologies and software development paradigms for the company. In mobile, he determines the corporate strategy for targeting mobile device users. Lapin also facilitates user experience, creative and software development on mobile platforms. Since joining the Kelley Blue Book team, Lapin set the company strategy for custom software architecture, which has been executed for the past five years, including kbb.com replatform, shared services, data architecture, VIMS (the company's state-of-the-art vehicle information management system ) and mobile. In addition, Lapin helped launched all current kbb.com mobile sites and applications, which sees more than 30,000 visits per day. The kbb.com app has been downloaded more than 300,000 times since it went live in April 2010.
Prior to Kelley Blue Book, Lapin was a lead developer for Deloitte & Touche, developing custom software in a consulting environment for a Fortune 500 company.  Lapin regularly speaks on cloud computing and other technologies.
