Kaizen principles. This talk will explain what these techniques
are, why it's an imperative in today's world, and what you can do
about it.

Kaizen, a Japanese term meaning "change for the better",
refers to a philosophy or approach that focuses on continuous
process improvement. When applied to business and the workplace,
Kaizen aims to eliminate process waste, encourage participation of
employees, and improve quality and productivity.

an overview of Lean manufacturing and Kaizen, present some case
studies, and provide tools to assess how you can determine whether
it's right for your operation, and how you can get
started. |

Kurt Knodt - Ricoh Americas
Corporation Production Technology Group
|
 |
|
|
Kurt Knodt has been focused on new digital
products and technologies at Ricoh in Cupertino , California for
six years, and has a 25-year career in the digital imaging
industry. He has helped develop many successful digital products
and services at Ricoh and Xerox. His current focus includes
applying the Kaizen approach to help customers improve processes,
productivity, and employee satisfaction.

Kurt is a recipient of 13 US patents. He has an
MBA from the University of Chicago, MS in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Rochester , and BS in Computer Science from
Carnegie Mellon University .
