History

We started the Dot in 1980 as a commercial sheetfed printer in a 10,000 square foot facility in Fountain Valley, Ca. By 1983 the company outgrew the facility, and moved to a 40,000 square foot plant in Irvine, Ca. At the same time we purchased our first web press, expanded our prepress and bindery capabilities and became the leading lithographer in the rapidly expanding Orange County, California market. The rapid expansion of the company led to recognition by INC magazine in 1983 and 1984 as one of the fastest growing US companies.

In 1984 our owners expanded to the Northern California Bay Area with a sales office followed by a plant location in 1991. Growth remained strong thru the 90's with opening digital prep and printing office in Las Vegas and the addition of a specialized wire-o binding facility in Costa Mesa, Ca.

In 1993 we opened the fulfillment and distribution division with an emphasis on electronic web based solutions for progressive fulfillment clients. We started in Irvine in a 16,000 square foot facility and service 2 customers. Over the next 15 years we grew that business to over 180,000 square feet and over 100 customers. Many of our key accounts have been with us for over 5 years.

Today the Dot is a, $35 million company offering high quality lithographic and fulfillment services in 3 major west coast markets.

Many things have changed in our company's history, but not our basic commitment to provide high quality services to demanding partners in an environment anchored by integrity.
